ACE Winches has appointed Rune Midtun as Country Manager of ACE Winches Norge AS.
Rune joins ACE Winches from Ocean Rig where he held a variety of roles including Marine Superintendent and ultimately Project Marine Manager. Prior to his time with Ocean Rig, Rune worked for Solstad Shipping starting off in 1996 as an Able Seaman onboard Platform Supply Vessels and Anchor Handling Vessels. He moved on to become First Officer and then Chief Officer - Construction, and finally Operations Supervisor from 2007 - 2011.
Welcoming Rune to the company, Graham Thomson, COO of ACE Winches said: "Rune has a very strong marine background and we believe he is an excellent addition to our team."
