Novenco Offshore has signed a contract with Polish shipyard Remontowa Shiprepair Yard for delivery of HVAC Equipment for the conversion of the tanker Hanne Knutsen to FSO for the Martin Linge field.

Total E&P Norway will rent the Hanne Knutsen from KNOT FSO 1, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers. Remontowa Shiprepair Yard in Gdansk, Poland, will do the conversion of the shuttle tanker Hanne Knutsen into a FSO, which will be located at the Martin Linge field where Total is the operator.

The contract includes delivery of all new HVAC equipment such as DX systems and units, fans, control panels, fire dampers and louvres. A significant part of the equipment will be produced by Novenco’s South Korean owner Hi-Air Korea.

Additionally, Novenco has surveyed the existing HVAC system. This survey is the basis for an assessment of what equipment will have to be replaced during the conversion so that the system performance will be in accordance to rules and requirements.

Equipment is planned for delivery 2H 2016.
