New name for Repsol Sinopec joint venture

As of 4 July, the business formerly known as Talisman Sinopec Energy UK has been renamed as Repsol Sinopec Resources UK.

This follows the acquisition, in 2015, by Repsol of the global assets of the former Talisman Energy, including a 51% stake in the UK North Sea joint venture with Sinopec.

Repsol Sinopec Resources operates 10 offshore platforms, two floating facilities and an onshore terminal at Flotta, in Orkney.

In total, the firm has interests in 49 fields, of which it operates 38, on the UK Continental Shelf.

Repsol Sinopec Energy UK is a joint venture between Repsol and Addax Petroleum UK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group).
