Chevron North Sea has appointed Greta Lydecker as managing director of Chevron Upstream Europe, based in Aberdeen, starting today.

Lydecker succeeds Craig May, who was recently appointed to the role of vice president, Upstream Capability, based in Houston.

Lydecker comes to Aberdeen from Bakersfield, California, where she held the position of vice president of Chevron’s San Joaquin Valley Business Unit.

She joined Chevron in 1982 as a geologist and has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in various locations throughout the United States. Lydecker received her B.S in Geology from Allegheny College and M.S. in Geophysics from Boston College.

"I am delighted to be joining Chevron Upstream Europe in Aberdeen. Under Craig's leadership Chevron has delivered leading performance during a period of profound change in the UK North Sea and a challenging environment across the industry. I look forward to continuing that work, through our commitment to safe and reliable operations, and ensuring that we maintain our strong relationships with key stakeholders in the region," said Lydecker.
