Solstad supports McDermott on Ichthys

Norway's Solstad Offshore (SOFF) has been awarded a subcontract with US-headquartered McDermott for the provision of light construction vessel services associated with Ichthys gas field development project, offshore Western Australia.

Solstad's construction support vessel Normand Reach will assist McDermott main construction vessel in floating production, storage and offloading vessel hook up, subsea activities, pre-commissioning and survey scopes in 2017. 

The contract value is confidential was not disclosed. The contract represents an exciting opportunity for Solstad Offshore to introduce its high specification subsea construction vessels into Australia Pacific and Asia.
