Petrofac has secured a contract extension from Chevron North Sea for the provision of engineering services; an agreement it has held since 2014.

The 12-month agreement, which comes into effect this month, will involve the continued provision of engineering support to Chevron’s key North Sea assets.

In line with the contract scope, Petrofac will continue to deploy its operationally-focused scalable engineering delivery model in support of the Alba North, Erskine and Captain platforms, as well as the Alba FSU and Captain FPSO.

Dave Blackburn, senior vice president, Engineering and Production Services West, said: “Through implementation of a flexible and scalable model, we have created notable added value by reducing costs and aligning performance to KPIs, in a very challenging and cost-focused market. We look forward to continuing with this approach and further strengthening our relationship with Chevron over the coming 12 months.”
