Great Yarmouth-based oilfield and renewables firm ATAM Group is opening its second office in Aberdeen and planning to launch three new products.
The firm was founded just last year and supplies tools and software products for maintenance, cleaning and inspection. It says it is investing a seven figure sum into plans for the UK, including a new office in Dyce, Aberdeen, and three new products, including a range of pipe cleanliness and inspection tooling, unmanned magnetic ROV’s and their unique software package for asset management and intelligence.
The site in Dyce will act as a remote service center and will see the appointment of several new members of staff and an increase in turnover.
Mark Loades is managing director of the firm. He previously worked for BP, Baker Hughes, Halliburton, EnerMech, Noble Drilling, and, most recently, Bechtel Oil & Gas.
He says: "Establishing ourselves amongst asset owners and operators in Aberdeen is our primary objective currently, but we have every intention to grow internationally and streamline our service offering for a number of other sectors including renewables and decommissioning.”
