The Norwegian Offshore Directorate (NOD) has granted Equinor a drilling permit for a wildcat well in the North Sea.

The permit is for wellbore 33/9-F-4 DH in production license 1214.

Equinor operated the license with 17% working interest, along with partners Petoro with 30% stake, and OKEA and Vår Energi, with 28% and 25% shares, respectively.

The drilling operation will be conducted with COSL’s COSLPromoter, a semi-submersible drilling rig designed to operate in water depths up to 750 meters.
