Solstad Offshore Fixes CSV with Subsea 7

Published

Norwegian offshore service and supply ship shipping company Solstad Offshore has won a four-year contract extension with the seabed-to-surface engineering company Subsea 7 for the construction support vessel (CSV) Normand Subsea.

The duration of the contract is now firm until 31.12.2023 plus 2 yearly options thereafter, said a press note from the Norway-based shipping company.

“Normand Subsea” is a versatile IMR vessel that has been on contract to Subsea 7 since 2009. The vessel will continue to operate under a contract Subsea 7 has with BP UK.

“We are very pleased with being awarded this new contract with one of our key clients, Subsea 7. This is another evidence that the subsea maintenance activity is gradually starting to pick up again” says Lars Peder Solstad, CEO of Solstad Offshore ASA.

The vessel will support Subsea 7’s new contract with BP’s North Sea region portfolio of assets West of Shetland and Northern North Sea.
