A 10in PLET and in-line tee for Russia’s Kirinskoye gas condensate field development in the Sea of Okhotsk were installed in around 90m of water by main contractor JSC Mezhregiontruboprovodstroy (MRTS) using the newly installed 1600te crane on its vessel Fortuna (pictured). Independent subsea engineering consultancy DeepSea reviewed the crane design and construction for MRTS, as well as providing the installation procedures, all related analysis and engineering support personnel on the vessel during a landmark campaign dubbed ‘one of the first subsea projects in the Russian Federation’ by DeepSea’s senior project director in Russia, David Coster.
