Matt Fox (pictured), a former president of ConocoPhillips Canada and most recently EVP international at Nexen, rejoined ConocoPhillips last month in an interim role preparatory to assuming the post of EVP exploration and production in the new-look ConocoPhillips – a pure-play E&P company – expected to emerge in 2Q 2012 when the company’s repositioning into independent upstream and downstream business units is complete. Other senior members of the future ConocoPhillips leadership team named by designated chairman and CEO Ryan Lance are Alan Hirshberg, currently SVP planning and strategy, who will become EVP technology and projects, and Don E Wallette Jr, Asia Pacific president, who will become EVP business development and commercial. Hirshberg and Wallette are continuing in their current positions until the transaction is finalized.

VP investor relations of the new-look ConocoPhillips will be Ellen DeSanctis. She previously served as SVP corporate communications for Petrohawk Energy in Houston.
