Technip picks up new 5-year PSVM Angola deal

BP Angola awarded Technip a 5-year contract for engineering and modifications on FPSOs on the Greater Plutonio and Plutao, Saturno, Venus and Marte (PSVM) fields, Technip announced on 19 February 2013.

The contract involves engineering, procurement and management services for onshore and offshore construction. Technip's Luanda, Angola, operating center will manage the contract with completion expected by 2017. Technip did not disclosed the contract's value.

PSVM is located off Angola in blocks 18 and 31.

BP announced earlier this month that it had brought production at its PSVM development in Block 31 online. BP operates Block 31 with 26.67% interest. Its parnters include Sonangol (45%), Statoil (13.3%), Marathon (10%) and SSI 31 Ltd. (5%). Sonangol E.P. is the concessionaire.
