Vroon Offshore has announced the launch in China of the VOS Fabulous - the first of 10 new vessels being added to its fleet.
The VOS Fabulous is a 50m ERRV (emergency response and rescue vessel) and has been built at Nanjing East Star Shipyard.
It is the first in a 10-vessel newbuild program, with six 50m ERRVs being built at Nanjing and four 60m vessels under construction at Fujian Southeast Shipyard, also in China.
All have a wave-piercing bow shape that has been specially designed for Vroon.
VOS Fabulous is scheduled for delivery to Vroon Offshore Services in early summer and will be operational in the North Sea later this year.
