Montenegro licensing round opens

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro published an official announcement inviting oil and gas companies to apply for the licensing round that will remain open for tenders from August 7, 2013 until the February 28, 2014. The tender invitation covers an unexplored offshore area of 3191sq km with 13 blocks to be awarded.

Montenegro’s deputy minister of economy, Hon. Vladan Dubjevic, will be at the 2nd Balkans Oil & Gas Summit on September 24, 25 to present the fiscal terms and tender opportunities. Other areas to be reviewed at the conference include: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Romania, and Serbia.
