Normand Vision starts work for Ocean Installer

Solstad Offshore has taken delivery of the US$250 million Normand Vision (pictured) subsea vessel from Norway's Vard Group, part of the Fincantieri Group, at Søviknes.

The vessel has now started an eight-year charter with Norway based Ocean Installer, with additional two yearly options.

Normand Vision is a 157m-long subsea vessel, with a 400-ton subsea crane, a 3000-ton under-deck carousel, and a 150-ton vertical lay system.

Solstad has also secured a long term, $187.5 million loan from Eksportkreditt Norge. 

Norway-based Solstad Offshore has about 1800 staff, and operates 47 vessels all over the world. 

Solstad Offshore is headquartered in Skudeneshavn, Norway and has branch offices in Brazil, Singapore,  the Philippines, the UK and Australia.
