CNOOC Ltd has a new CEO, Li Fanrong, following Yang Hua’s decision to relinquish the post and devote more time to his role as president of the parent China National Offshore Oil Corporation. Li Fanrong, an engineer, was appointed president of CNOOC Energy Technology & Services in 2009 and president of CNOOC the following year.
