Subsea Expo 2015 call for papers

Subsea Expo 2015 has issued its call for speakers. The conference, organizer Subsea UK’s flagship event, will be held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre during 11-13 February 2015.

Speakers subjects have been announced, and they are as follows:

  • Market Review and Opportunities
  • Subsea Technology
  • Subsea Integrity Management
  • Offshore Renewables and Subsea Mining

Each speaker subject features several sub-topics. For the Market Review and Opportunities session, papers are invited on the following topics:

  • Subsea Industry Statistics
  •  Regional Analysis & Forecasts
  • Deep-water Development Activity
  •  Shallow Water Opportunities and Drivers
  • Government Strategies for Industry

For the Subsea Technology session, papers are invited on the following topics:

  • Futuristic Subsea Design - a vision of what it could look like
  • Game changing technologies
  • Subsea Production - separation, boosting, injection
  • Maximizing Recovery - improved and enhanced recovery
  • Subsea Construction Challenges

For the Subsea Integrity Management session, papers are invited on the following topics:

  • Survey / Inspection - Techniques and Technology
  • Data Management
  • Pipeline Integrity
  • IRM technologies and procedures
  • Monitoring sensors and communications

For the Offshore Renewables and Subsea Mining session, papers are invited for the following topics:

  • Market Outlook Statistics
  • Subsea Mining
  • Survey Technologies
  • Cable Laying and Connections
  • Wave and Tidal Renewable Developments

More than 190 exhibitors, 5300 delegates and 500 students were present at last year’s exhibition, placing it as Aberdeen’s third largest event after Offshore Europe and All Energy.

Exhibition and conference admission is free. The annual awards dinner requires registration and will be held 11 February 2015 in the Boyd Orr suite. Nominations are being accepted until 31 October in the following categories: Company of the Year; Innovation and Technology; New enterprise; Global Exports; Innovation for Safety; Young Emerging Talent, and Outstanding Contribution.
