Yamgaz selects AG&P for Yamal LNG project

Published

Yamgaz awarded a contract to Atlantic Gulf & Pacific Co. (AG&P) to supply process modules to the Yamal LNG plant, located in Sabetta, northeast of the Yamal Peninsula.

Yamal LNG is the first LNG development venture in the Arctic, and is one of the largest LNG projects in the world.  It is expected to start up in 2017, with shipments planned to Europe and Asia.

Yamgaz, the consortium designing and constructing the LNG plant, completed a tender process and selected AG&P for its capacity, modular construction capabilities, safety and quality standards and its previous track record of project delivery.

The contract’s amount was not disclosed, but AG&P says it is one of the largest export contracts in Philippine history.

This contract announcement follows the news of AG&P’s deployment of the Hydro Deck in Darwin to service the large construction project in Australia’s Northern Territory.
