4Subsea wins Statoil contract

Statoil awarded 4Subsea a contract for further development of the cloud solution WellSpot.

4Subsea and Statoil have developed WellSpot since 2011, in order to make data collection and analyses related to wellheads more efficient.  WellSpot, one of Statoil’s first cloud solutions, is built on Microsoft’s cloud platform Azure.

Also, other parties in the industry would benefit from using this solution, and Statoil will evaluate the possibilities for a commercialization of the product.
