Huntington due to resume

Published

Canada-based, North Sea-focused independent Iona Energy says production from the E.ON-operated Huntington field is due to return to normal operations as gas export rate restrictions are lifted.

The Huntington field, produced via the Voyageur Spirit FPSO, has been operating under gas export rate restrictions, due to an issue with the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) since October 2014. This has in turn reduced the rate of oil production from the field.

Iona says E.ON has said that different fields which use CATS are being brought on line and that the Huntington field is ready for full ramp up when unrestricted access to CATS is made available.
