ConocoPhillips misses in GoM

ConocoPhillips’ found no commercial hydrocarbons at its Harrier prospect in Mississippi Canyon Block 118 in deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

Harrier was drilled to a total depth of 19,400ft. The well will be plugged and abandoned.

ConocoPhillips is the operator of Harrier with 63%. Partner Stone Energy holds the remaining 37%.

ConocoPhillips also announced the plugging and abandonment of its Omosi-1 deepwater exploration well in Block 37 offshore Angola in the Kwanza basin.

The well was drilled to 20,666ft and encountered a gas column of approximately 525ft in the primary objective reservoir.  No further activity is planned.
