Subsea Solutions opens Brazil training facility

Published

In response to nine years of consistent growth, Subsea Solutions expanded Brazilian operations with the opening of a subsea well-control equipment training center in Barra da Tijuca. Classes are scheduled to start 30 June 2015.

The classes in the Brazil training center are designed for active drilling contractor and operator personnel. The new center will kick off with courses in English and Portuguese, which include Subsea 100 and Subsea 101.

The Subsea 100 course is a one-day well-control equipment primer that provides an overview of blowout preventer (BOP) components and control systems.

The Subsea 101 course is a three-day course designed for oil and gas personnel with rig experience, also providing them with an overview of BOP components and control systems.

Geared for more experienced personnel, the Subsea 102 course is an introduction to BOP MUX control systems. Subsea 102 is a three-day course that provides an overview of the electrical-hydraulic sequential signal flow pathway resulting from remote panel operator push-button initiation. Students should have taken Subsea 101 and have some electronics-electrical background.

All classes are IADC-accredited and group classes are available.
