EMGS announces India work

A letter of award has been announced and signed by Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS), worth approximately US$15.3 million, with a repeat customer in India.

The survey, which is located off the eastern coast of India, is expected to start in early January 2016 by the vessel BOA Thalassa. The acquisition phase is estimated to have a duration of approximately two months.

The BOA Thalassa is a purpose built 3D EM survey vessel of MT 6007 design. The DNV 1A1 classed ship is 80.35m long and is approximately 3000dwt.  The vessel has a fully integrated diesel electrical propulsions system and a dynamic positioning system.
