Songa Delta to drill Statoil wildcat

The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority granted Statoil consent to drill exploration well 30/11-11 using the Songa Delta.

Beginning mid-January 2016, Statoil has allocated 36 days for the activity. The well is around 28km south of the Oseberg field, and around 130km from the nearest land at Sund municipality in Hordaland county. Water depth is around 106m.

Songa Delta is operated by Songa Offshore.

Statoil operates production licenses 272 and 035.
