Petrofac's enginnering and production services business SPD Ltd. was awarded a contract by Zennor Petroleum to provide well design and well construction management services, to support the Finlaggan appraisal well which is located in the central sector of the North Sea.
The contract – awarded as a result of competitive tender – commenced last month. Petrofac’s well management team is responsible for executing the planning and operational phases and will manage the end-to-end process within a six month schedule. This will involve detailed design and planning, procurement, subcontractor management and the execution of the appraisal well operations.
“This is our third well project management award from Zennor Petroleum in the United Kingdom Continental Shelf," Alex MacDonald, SPD managing director said. “We’re committed to delivering a safe, successful and to budget subsea appraisal well campaign, which meets the well objectives and provides the data to prove future economic viability.”
