Ensco wins Chevron gig off Indonesia

Chevron awarded Ensco a contract for its Ensco 8504 semisubmersible rig, offshore Indonesia.

The rig is mobilizing to Indonesia, and is expected to begin operations in late March. The contract is set to end in early July with a dayrate of about US$270,000.

According to the company’s fleet status report, Ensco will receive a lump sum of about $8 million for mobilization, acceptance testing and rig load out to be amortized over primary contract term.
