Vaalco CFO quits

Published

Vaalco Energy's chief financial officer Don McCormack has resigned effective 2 June, after spending less than one year with the company.

McCormack’s departure was not related to any issues regarding financial disclosures, accounting or legal matters. He plans to spend more time with his family and pursue other opportunities.

McCormack joined Vaalco as its CFO on 1 November 2015.

The company’s chief accounting officer and controller, as well as its vice president of strategic planning, marketing and treasurer will report to the chief executive officer while the company conducts a search for a new chief financial officer.

Vaalco has engaged Russell Reynolds Associates to assist in the search process.
