Global Maritime appoints Norway regional manager

Global Maritime Consultancy & Engineering has appointed Mikal Grure Eie as regional manager for Norway. Eie‘s brief will be to develop closer customer relationships and drive new business development opportunities throughout Norway.

Eie has spent over 10 years in the offshore sector. Previous roles include support with the construction of the Hywind floating wind farm and other wind power projects as well as on oil and gas fields, such as Visund, Oseberg, and Gullfaks. Eie has also worked as a management consultant developing and improving organizational performance for major regional and global organizations in the offshore industry, including Statoil, ENI, and Seadrill. 

Prior to joining Global Maritime in January 2013, Eie was business development manager at DNV GL. At Global Maritime, his positions have included business development leader and head of strategy and commercial where he was responsible for managing the commercial team and setting the business direction of the company.

“With experience in renewables, oil and gas, and the maritime sector in general as well as in high-level business strategy, [Eie] brings the perfect blend of skills to his important new role,” said David Sutton, CEO of Global Maritime Consultancy & Engineering. “We look forward to seeing the further growth of our Norwegian business over the coming months and years.”

Eie has an Master in Science in industrial management and a Bachelor's degree in energy management engineering from the University of Agder.
