SPT completes Ophir wellhead platform installation

SPT Offshore says it has completed the installation of Ophir wellhead platform in “record-breaking” time.

The company started the installation of the jacket in the early morning hours of 9 April. The following day, the boat-landing was lifted. Soon after, the topside was immediately lifted and placed on the jacket within a few hours on 11 April, completing the three-lift offshore operation within a record breaking 72 hours, says SPT.
