IHS has opened a new 25,000ft2 facility in Houston dedicated to the secure transformation of hard copy E&P records – well files, paper logs, maps, seismic sections, legal documents and the like – into proprietary, globally available, unlimited access, electronic databases. Initially capable of turning 25,000 documents a month into digital files, the IHS Data Transformation Center is expected to be offering four times that capacity by the end of next year.
