Norwegian offshore engineering company Head Energy has made a new addition to its EPCIC Engineering Division. EPCIC stands for Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Commissioning.

Head Energy said Friday that Oskar Leirgulen had joined the division as operations manager, having previously worked for OneSubsea, a Schlumberger subsidiary, where he held the position as Project Manager.

He has previously worked for companies like Reinertsen, Siemens, and Goodtech.

Leirgulen has a background within Computer Engineering and holds an MBA in Strategic Management from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).

"Head Energy has taken impressive leaps within EPCIC and project execution over the last years and I feel that I am joining a very exciting setup with a good project portfolio, long-term clients and a forward-thinking approach," Leirgulen said.

"Oskar is an experienced, hard-working and results-driven person and is a great signing for our management team. I believe he will further strengthen and streamline our project execution approach. He is also a positive, friendly and humorous person, so he is a good fit for our working environment as well," says Managing Director of engineering, Øyvind Reksten.

In recent Head Energy-related news, in March secured a contract related to two well hook-ups at the Brage Platform for Wintershall Dea North.

Brage is Wintershall Dea’s first manned platform in Norway. Located in the northern North Sea, 125 kilometers west of Bergen, it is one of the oldest producing platforms in Norway.
