The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS a drilling permit for well 25/7-9 S, cf. Section 15 of the Resource Management Regulations.

Well 25 / 7-9 S shall be drilled from the drilling equipment Leiv Eiriksson at position 59 ° 15'17.13 "N and 2 ° 18'51.74" A.

The drilling program for well 25 / 7-9 S concerns drilling of exploration well in extraction license 917. ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS is an operator with a 40 per cent stake.

The other litigants are Lundin Norway AS (20 per cent), Suncor Energy Norge AS (20 per cent) and Vår Energi AS (20 per cent).

The area in this leaf consists of part of blocks 25/7 and 25/10. The well is being drilled about 12 kilometers west of Ringhorne and 210 kilometers northwest of Stavanger.

Production license 917 was awarded March 2, 2018 in APA 2017 on the Norwegian continental shelf.

This is the second exploration well to be drilled in the foliage. The permit states that the other license and consent required by other authorities is given before the drilling activity begins.
