Monday, November 11, 2019

Well intervention company Wellpro Group announced two new appointments as it eyes further expansion in the Eastern Hemisphere.

Mark Fraser has taken up the role of Regional Manager in the Middle East, while Martin Webster has been appointed Regional Manager in Asia.

Fraser and Webster bring to the company 35 years’ experience combined, and are both very knowledgeable in the thru tubing sector having worked for national, international and supermajor operators across the world. They join Wellpro Group following a sustained period of growth for the Aberdeen-headquartered company, which has in recent months taken over the Dubai base of Hunting Energy Services’ thru tubing and rental business, and set up operations in Asia.

The firm noted it has received a further boost by extending the already achieved ISO9001:2015 accreditation in the region. The internationally recognized standard acknowledges Wellpro Group’s commitment to quality, transparency, customer service and delivery, setting it apart in the thru tubing market.

Wellpro Group CEO Jim Thomson said, “The appointments of both Mark and Martin are pivotal in our longer-term vision of growing the business in the Middle East and Asia. Mark and Martin bring a wealth of experience to our talented team, and we are looking forward to strengthening Wellpro Group’s presence in these markets.

“It has been a busy period for the company, but also an exciting one. Since acquiring Hunting Energy Services’ business in Dubai earlier this year, we have refurbished and set up our own facility, an investment that shows our long-term commitment to the region. Mark will be based in Dubai, and a key part of his role will be establishing Wellpro Group as the high quality thru tubing specialist in the Middle East.

“Martin will bring his substantial knowledge to the Asian market as we look to grow there, and we are already planning to hire more staff to support the operations that we have already been awarded.

“These are exciting times for Wellpro Group, and these appointments will enable us to continue our business growth strategy.”
