Shelf Drilling Bags ONGC Jack-up Deal

Dubai-based Offshore drilling contractor Shelf Drilling has received an award for a three-year contract for the Trident II jack-up rig.

The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) award was for operations in the Mumbai High, offshore India. Operations are expected to start in 1Q 2020.

In addition, ADNOC Drilling has awarded the jackup High Island VII a three-year contract extension. This is in direct continuation of its current contract for drilling operations in the Arabian Gulf.

The contract includes a two-year option period. The High Island VII jack-up rig is of a Marathon LeTourneau 82-SD-C design built in 1982. The rig’s last upgrade was in 2016.
