Monday, August 26, 2019

Indonesia awarded West Ganal oil and gas exploration block in offshore Makassar strait to a consortium of Eni Indonesia Ltd, PT Pertamina and Neptune Energy West Ganal B.V, Deputy Energy Minister Arcandra Tahar said on Monday.

The consortium set a $159.3 million investment commitment for the next three years and gave the government a signature bonus of $30.1 million, Tahar said.

West Ganal block was one of the four offered by the government in the latest round of oil and gas blocks auctioned.

The government will re-auction the three other blocks -- West Kampar, Bone and Kutai -- in the next round, Tahar said.
