Netherlands-based Jumbo’s Fairplayer has completed the pre-installation and tensioning of a shallow water CALM buoy mooring system at a depth of 26 meters for the Mersa El-Hamra terminal offshore Egypt.

The heavy lift shipping and offshore transportation and installation contractor said in a press note that Jumbo’s scope included the pre-lay of 10 Stevshark drag anchors and 6 chain moorings and the subsequent tensioning of the mooring legs up to 512 metric tons, for our client WEPCO / Micoperi.

Given a short lead time, Jumbo said its project team managed to prepare for the full scope of work and provide the required project procedures, equipment and personnel on-time.
