ACE Winches Grows Global Footprint

Thursday, June 20, 2019

ACE Winches said it has expanded its offering at a number of locations worldwide, supported through a pair of new working partnerships.

The UK-based firm, which designs, manufactures and hires lifting, pulling and deploying solutions, announced it has partnered with Hendrik Veder Group in Norway and the Netherlands, and formed a strategic alliance agreement with Emirates Safety Services in the Middle East. ACE will now provide a full suite of heavy spooling equipment located in Aberdeen, Singapore, Stavanger, Houston, Dubai and Rotterdam. This includes providing engineering, design and manufacturing services from the company’s headquarters in the UK.

Harry MacLean, Hendrik Veder Group International Development Director, said, “Off the back of the successful ACE Winches and Hendrik Veder working relationship in Norway, we are delighted to now offer a full turnkey solution of wire rope and spooling services in Rotterdam to cover our mainland European operations. This means we can provide a solution for our clients that is operationally more efficient and cost-effective.”

Ken Mackay, Director at Emirates Safety Solutions, said, “We are delighted to have established this partnership with ACE Winches. Their wealth of experience and the high-quality spooling winches and services that they offer mean that we are confident that they are a reliable and trusted partner.”

The ACE Winches equipment portfolio can deliver spooling operations and wire inspections up to 150 millimeters in diameter and up to 550 metric tons in weight. According to the manufacturer, this provides clients with the flexibility and support they require in locations where spooling works have previously been challenging due to lack of equipment available, and lack of trained personnel experienced in inspection and handling of high value ropes and umbilicals.

ACE also offers services such as onsite commissioning, reverse engineering, FMECA and engineering surveys, product support and upgrades, equipment repairs and more.
