Norway's oil production dropped 8.2 percent in March year-on-year to 1.396 million barrels per day, lagging the official forecast for the month by 1.5 percent, Norway's Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said on Friday.
Technical problems at certain fields were one of the main reason why oil production came in below forecast, NPD said.
Natural gas output in March rose 3.3 percent in the same period to 359.1 million cubic meters per day, exceeding NPD's forecasts by 2.4 percent, it added.
For February, the natural gas production of Europe's second-largest gas supplier stood at 11.1 billion cubic meters.
