Matt McCarroll’s appointment as CEO of ATP Oil & Gas in succession to T Paul Bulmahn lasted barely a week. McCarroll resigned on 7 June, with the company declaring that it was unable to conclude a mutually agreeable employment deal with him. His previously announced purchase of shares from the company was also rescinded. Bulmahn meanwhile continues to serve as chairman and also in the newly created position of executive chairman.
