Odfjell contracts additional four gas tankers

Norway-based Odfjell SE signed shipbuilding contracts with Nantong Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co., Ltd., of China, for construction of four 17,000 cbm capacity LPG/Ethylene gas tankers. Odfjell also secured various options for delivery of up to four additional tankers.

Deliveries are scheduled between October 2015 and May 2016. The contract price in total is approximately US$180MM.

Odfjell currently operates two LPG/Ethylene tankers with capacities of 9,000 cbm.
