SSP Offshore Inc. will showcase its offshore logistics base, the SSP HUB, at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston on May 5-8.

Earlier this year, Bristow Group, an offshore helicopter service provider, signed an agreement with SSP Offshore Inc. to be the exclusive helicopter transport service provider for the SSP HUB, with the exception of China and Brazil. Bristow will contribute its expertise to design details and operational protocols for the HUB.

The SSP HUB addresses the challenges of transporting personnel to exploration and production platforms in deep and ultra-deep waters. The HUB utilizes the exceptional motion and inherent stability characteristics of the SSP PLUS design in a new commercial application, delivering unique functionality that combines (1) safe and efficient high-volume personnel transport capabilities in a protected environment without reliance on gangways; (2) flotel and emergency accommodation capability, and (3) full offshore supply base capacity for fluids and other materials.

Detailed design and engineering work has been substantially completed on the SSP HUB, along with extensive docking simulations in various sea states.

Visit SSP Offshore at the Bristow Group booth #917.
