Wood Group PSN (WGPSN) has secured a contract with Woodside in Western Australia which boosts Wood Group's maintenance and brownfield project portfolio in Australia.

The scope of work includes the engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) services on Woodside's Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension Program, as well as providing modification and refurbishment services to Woodside's Production Projects Group across all their onshore and offshore assets.

Andrew Stewart, Australia and Asia Pacific managing director of WGPSN, said: "This new contract deepens our presence in Western Australian, which is well timed against the local market transition we expect from greenfield construction to production support services. We are excited to be working with Woodside in a relationship centred on consistent, predictable delivery services across their onshore and offshore asset base."

WGPSN employs over 2000 people in the region, which spans Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Singapore and Malaysia. The Australian offices are in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, providing brownfield maintenance, shutdown, EPCM, and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) project portfolio delivery services.
