Petrex supported the CNR International's Subsea Project Team during the installation of a multiphase booster pump (MPBP) at the Lyell subsea field in the North Sea.

Petrex acted as the CNR International interface for the day-to-day project management of the MPBP vendor, umbilical splice vendor and new high voltage connector vendor in readiness for offshore operations.

Petrex successfully provided project management support for the hardware readiness aspects of the project on behalf of CNR International.

The Petrex scope also included the completion of the preliminary engineering analysis for umbilical recovery and splice deployment and development of a 3D ACAD/Inventor model for installation clash checks / visualization.

“The installation and commissioning of the Lyell Subsea Pump 2014 has been a text book piece of installation work,” said Dick Turnbull, Engineering Manager for CNR International.
