Premier targets 2016 Bagpuss spud

Premier Oil is hoping to spud an exploration well on the Baguss prospect in Block 13/24c in the UK North Sea in H1 2016, according to partner North Sea Energy. 

The Bagpuss well targets lower cretaceous sands, jurassic sands and a granite wash formation about 1400ft subsurface. 

A semisubmersible rig will be used and options to contract the rig are under evaluation to optimize costs.The joint venture partners in the Bagpuss prospect are operator Premier Oil (37.5%), Maersk (25%), EnCounter (15%), Groliffe (7.5%), and North Sea Energy (UK NO2) Ltd.(15%), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NSE.
