Sound Oil changes name

Sound Oil, the Mediterranean focused upstream gas company, announces that it is to change its registered name to "Sound Energy plc."

Following the company's increasing gas focus and expected first production from its Nervesa field in 2015, the board of directors has decided that the name "Sound Energy plc" is more reflective of the company's broadened asset base.  The effective date of the change of name is expected to be 1 October 2015.
