First Geo inks Det norske work

Det norske oljeselskap awarded a framework agreement to First Geo for delivery of a broad range of subsurface and well engineering services.

Under the contract, First Geo will provide personnel within the technical areas such as subsurface specialists, geologists, and geophysicists, wellsite and operations geologists, drilling and completion engineers.

First Geo’s contract with Det norske runs until 2020, with two plus two-year optional periods. The contract value was undisclosed.

“Providing specialist subsurface, drilling and well engineering services we contribute towards keeping oil companies’ investments and cost down. With consultants that are local at Det norske’s offices around Norway, this is a business model that is particularly attractive in a costs conscious environment,”Helge H. Nyrønning, managing director of First Geo said.
