New SVP for Det norske

Tuesday, July 5, 2016

Per Harald Kongelf (56) has been appointed new SVP Improvement for Norway's Det norske oljeselskap.

He joins Det norske from Aker Solutions Norge, where he has served as the regional head of Norway. He will take up the new role on 15 September 2016.

Det norske recently agreed to a merger with BP Norge, creating a new company, Aker BP, which will be Norway's largest independent.

Kongelf has an MSc from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim and has more than 25 years of industry experience after having held several specialist and executive positions with Aker Solutions. At Det norske, he will be responsible for the company’s improvement program.

This position has thus far been filled by CEO Karl Johnny Hersvik on a temporary basis.
