Wood Group wins global BP pre-FEED, FEED work

Wood Group has been awarded a three-year global agreement with BP for the provision of conceptual engineering services, pre-front end engineering design (pre-FEED) and FEED engineering services. The agreement has an option to extend for two additional years.

Last year, BP awarded Wood Group a five-year, US$500 million engineering, procurement and construction management services contract for work in Azerbaijan.  In 2015, BP contracted with Wood Group for engineering services related to BP’s existing subsea infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico, UK and Norwegian continental shelves, and offshore Azerbaijan.

Robin Watson, Wood Group’s chief executive, said: “We are capable of performing the full spectrum of work through an asset lifecycle: operations and maintenance, modifications, project management, late-life production and decommissioning.  Additionally, our specialist technical solutions business provides expertise in asset integrity, automation and control, and developing digital solutions to make client assets run efficiently with the lowest amount of risk and cost.”
