Netherlands-based C-Ventus Offshore Windfarm Services BV has merged with 4SEAS BV to jointly service the offshore wind industry.

All personnel and activities of 4SEAS, including ongoing projects and opportunity pipeline, will join, respectively be taken over by the new company, which will trade under the C-Ventus name.

Hans Reinigert, Managing Director C-Ventus commented: “Since 4SEAS main focus appeared to be the offshore wind industry and C-Ventus has ambitious plans for the future, we believe that this merger will benefit both companies as well as our joint client base. It also brings about the return of people that were very much involved in the start-up of C-Ventus and as such the integration will be smooth and the merger will immediately enhance our capabilities and capacities."

"Aside from this positive development, C-Ventus has had an exceptional start of the year with various contracts won and extended, which will allow us to capitalize further on the strong market growth observed in the offshore wind sector”, he added.

Martijn Hoogenstraaten, Director Projects of 4SEAS said: “We are very pleased with this merger, which provides a major opportunity for both parties to meet the growing requirements of the wind energy sector. Knowing C-Ventus well, it became clear that combining our competencies would create a total solution provider that benefits all stakeholders."

"C-Ventus already has an impressive track record and we look forward to add many successful projects to the long list of both installation support, O&M and decommissioning services”, Martijn  said.

Paul van Tongeren, Business Development Director of 4SEAS added: “This is a merger of two highly compatible companies, not only do we hold similar values and philosophies on doing business, with an emphasis on honesty and integrity, we also share a strong focus on safety and quality as well as the strategic outlook on the offshore wind industry in Western Europe. This has facilitated and accelerated the talks and the establishing of a new company with enhanced experience and expertise and as such, the merger will result in a more comprehensive infrastructure with even faster response times and improved service-levels”.
