Aberdeen-based Nucore Group said it has established a new division that will offer a range of fire and blast door installation, maintenance services.

In line with the expansion, the group has appointed Brian Wallace as Offshore Door Services Manager.

Wallace has 15 years of technical experience, working offshore in Angola, Caspian region, Europe and UKCS in senior service technician roles. He has both technical and project management experience in the installation, service and maintenance of modular fire and blast doors and hatches.

The new division will complement Oteac's established offshore fire and safety offering and HVAC & Refrigeration's range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment used in offshore applications. Both companies are part of Nucore Group who collectively have been servicing the sector for over 30 years.

Mark Fraser, Nucore Group CEO, said, "Brian's skills will enable the group to provide customers with specialized technical support for fire and blast doors, blast walls and water-tight doors and hatches. Where safety is paramount, regular maintenance of fire and blast doors is critical for our clients.

Fraser continued, "This new service offering is a great fit for Nucore Group, enhancing both the Oteac and HVAC&R services divisions. Our strategy is to create a safety critical maintenance offering that aligns with our customer’s requirements, and helps drive supply chain efficiency for them."
